About Fusheng Temple Pagoda

A brick pagoda in the centre of Dengzhou, built in 1032 under the Northern Song with thirteen storeys, cut to seven by war damage at the end of the Yuan and repaired in the early Ming. About 38 m tall and octagonal, it is faced with more than 2,000 carved bricks of Buddhas, guardians and musicians; the gold coffin and silver casket found in its crypt in 1988 are now in the Henan Museum.
