About Stilwell Museum
The 1930s house on Jialing New Road that was the home and headquarters of the US general Joseph Stilwell from 1942 to 1944, when he was Allied chief of staff in the China theatre and commanded US forces in China, Burma and India. His office, bedroom, adjutant's room, meeting rooms and air-raid basement are furnished as they were, with displays of his manuscripts, uniforms and belongings. The museum was refurbished and reopened in August 2023.
How to get to Stilwell Museum
At Liziba in Yuzhong District, about 200 m from Fotuguan station on Metro Line 2. Closed on Mondays.
