Quzhou 衢州Qúzhōu
Confucius's southern heirs, Danxia peaks and spicy rabbit heads

About Quzhou
Quzhou sits on the western edge of Zhejiang, bordering Anhui, Jiangxi and Fujian; an old saying calls it the crossroads of four provinces. When the Song court fled south in the 12th century, the senior line of Confucius's descendants settled here, and their Temple of Southern Confucianism is one of only two Kong family temples in China. Out of town are the sheer peaks of Mount Jianglang, a World Heritage site, the old border town of Nianbadu and the man-made Longyou Caves, of unknown date.
