Ezhou 鄂州Èzhōu
A Three Kingdoms capital of lakes, bream and a temple on a river rock

About Ezhou
Ezhou is a small city of lakes on the south bank of the Yangtze, downstream from Wuhan. In the Three Kingdoms era Sun Quan made it the capital of Wu and renamed it Wuchang, a name still carried by Wuchang bream, the fish of Liangzi Lake, where Liangzi Island makes a quiet boat trip. The Guanyin Pavilion stands on a rock reef in the river, and wooded Xishan hill keeps temples and traces of Sun Quan's court.
