About Shuangyashan

Shuangyashan, whose name means 'pair of ducks mountain', is a coal-mining city in the Sanjiang Plain, ringed by wetlands, forest parks and state farms. Its far-eastern county of Raohe lies on the Ussuri River facing Russia and is one of the places where the Hezhe, a small river-fishing people, live. At Sipai Hezhe Folk Park, fish-skin art and displays show their life, and the Ussuri Boat Song, drawn from Hezhe melodies, is linked to Raohe.
