About Jiamusi
Jiamusi lies on the Songhua River in the heart of the Sanjiang Plain, a land of rice fields and Hezhe villages that reaches China's far eastern edge. Aoqiwan Hezhe Tourist Area, on the city's outskirts, and Jiejinkou Hezhe Resort in Tongjiang show the life of the Hezhe, a small people of river fishers. Farther east, Fuyuan is China's easternmost county-level division, and Heixiazi Island Scenic Area lies where the Amur meets the Ussuri, opposite the Russian city of Khabarovsk.
