About Qiongzhong
Qiongzhong, a Li and Miao autonomous county governed directly by the province, fills the forested central highlands north-east of Wuzhishan city. Baihualing Rainforest Cultural Tourism Area, beside the north gate of Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, has a tree-top boardwalk, a 2 km rainforest slide and a waterfall that drops over 300 m. Limu Mountain, in the county's uplands, is tied in Li tradition to Limu, the ancestral mother of the Li.
