About Changjiang

Changjiang, a Li autonomous county governed directly by the province, is a working county of mines, mango orchards and fishing harbours on Hainan's west coast. Its seat, Shilu, is an iron-ore town built around a mine known for high-grade ore. In the uplands, the Bawangling area of Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park is the only home of the Hainan gibbon, one of the world's rarest apes, while on the coast Qizi Bay, whose name means chess-piece bay, is a beach scattered with rocks.
