Yangjiang 阳江Yángjiāng
Island beaches and a Song-dynasty merchant ship raised whole from the seabed

About Yangjiang
Yangjiang is one of China's main centres for making knives and scissors, and its handmade kites once earned it the name 'home of kites in the south'. On Hailing Island, crowds come for the beach at Dajiao Bay, and the Maritime Silk Road Museum of Guangdong houses the Nanhai I, a Southern Song merchant ship raised whole in 2007. Inland near Yangchun, boats run along the underground river of Lingxiao Cave, and limestone pinnacles fill the Chunwan Scenic Area.
