About Baimai Springs

A public park in the centre of Mingshui, Zhangqiu, built around the Baimai group of artesian karst springs, one of Jinan's 'seventy-two famous springs'. The main spring rises in a rectangular pool about 25 m long in the courtyard of the Dragon Spring Temple, with small lakes fed by the springs around it and a poetry garden for the Song poet Li Qingzhao, who is associated with Zhangqiu. Mingshui Ancient Town, a new town built in old style, opened beside the park in 2023-24.
