About Junshan Island
A hilly island of 0.96 km² with 72 small peaks in Dongting Lake, about 9 km west of Yueyang Tower, tied to the legend of Emperor Shun's two consorts Ehuang and Nüying, whose tears are said to have spotted the bamboo that grows around their tomb here. Paths wind through the tea gardens that produce Junshan Silver Needle tea to the consorts' tomb and temple, the Liu Yi Well from a Tang tale, old rock inscriptions and other sites, with wide views over the lake.
How to get to Junshan Island
