About Yezhi Tusi Residence

The seat of the Wang family, hereditary Naxi chieftains (tusi) of the Yezhi area, begun under the Kangxi emperor and enlarged until it reached its present size in the Guangxu era. Built round connected courtyards in the local 'three wings and a screen wall' plan, it mixes Han, Tibetan, Naxi and Bai styles and includes the chieftain's quarters, guard rooms, stables, watchtowers and a Black God Hall.
