About Guishan Han Tombs

The joint tomb of Liu Zhu, sixth king of Chu in the Western Han dynasty, and his queen, cut side by side into the west face of Guishan hill on Xuzhou's north-western edge and identified in 1985 from the king's silver seal. Two narrow passages about 56 m long, with finely smoothed walls, lead to fifteen rock-hewn rooms including bedchambers, a kitchen, a well, a carriage room and a toilet, which visitors can walk through; a museum opened at the site in 1993.
