About Wuqiang New Year Picture Museum
A museum in Wuqiang, long known for woodblock New Year pictures (nianhua), which describes itself as the first museum in China devoted to the craft and was approved in 1985. Its collection includes more than 10,000 historic woodblocks and printed pictures from the Ming and Qing dynasties onwards, and hands-on woodblock printing is offered to visitors. A good fit for anyone interested in folk art and festival customs.
