About Clock Tower, Tsim Sha Tsui
The Clock Tower, built in 1915, is the only part of the Kowloon-Canton Railway's Tsim Sha Tsui terminus left standing: the terminus opened in 1916, the trains moved to Hung Hom in 1975, and the old station was demolished in 1978. The 44-metre tower is built of red brick and granite in Edwardian Classical Revival style, with an octagonal domed belfry topped by a lightning rod. It stands on the harbourfront next to the Star Ferry pier, a good spot for the skyline view.
