About Ciyun Temple, Tianzhen
A Ming-dynasty Buddhist temple in the middle of Tianzhen, laid out in three courtyards on about 5,600 m², which took its present name when the Xuande emperor (1426–35) granted it. The Piluzhen Hall is the most imposing building and holds two Ming wooden cabinet-pavilions, the main hall has Ming wall paintings, and the bell and drum towers have rounded domed roofs, a form the county government calls rare in China. It draws large crowds at the Spring Festival.
