About Yanqing Temple Pagoda
A six-sided, seven-storey brick pagoda with timber eaves, built between 999 and 1002 to hold relics brought back by the monk Xingda, and the only surviving part of Yanqing Temple. It stands 37.2 m tall, and because its structure shows no trace of later rebuilding it is regarded as one of the most completely preserved Song-dynasty pagodas south of the Yangtze.
