About Qiaoling Mausoleum

The mausoleum of the Tang emperor Ruizong (Li Dan), whose burial chamber was cut into Feng Mountain north-west of Pucheng, with a walled precinct built around the hill. Its long spirit way is lined with sculpture regarded, with that of Qianling, as among the finest of any Tang tomb: carved pillars, a pair of winged xiezhi beasts, ostriches in relief, horses, officials and, at the south gate, a pair of lions.
