About The Bethanie
The Bethanie is a Neo-Gothic building completed in 1875 by the Paris Foreign Missions Society as a sanatorium where sick missionaries could recover before returning to their work in East Asia. It has a chapel, a sanatorium block and a service wing, with arched verandahs on all sides. Restored in 2006, it is now a campus of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and includes the Bethanie Museum.
