About Tiantai An, Pingshun

A small hall on high ground in Wangqu village that was long counted among China's four surviving Tang timber buildings, until repairs in 2014 turned up ink inscriptions dating it to the Later Tang (Five Dynasties) period, about 929–933. It is three bays wide, about 7 m square, on a stone platform about 1 m high, with a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, very plain brackets and a simple early roof frame. Only the hall and a worn Tang stele remain of the temple.
