About Baiyunzhuang (Baiyun Manor), Ningbo
A small walled estate in western Ningbo, built from 1611 as the tomb manor of the Wan family, which in the late 1660s and 1670s became the home of the Yongshang Zhengren Academy, where the philosopher Huang Zongxi taught the Wan brothers and other students and the Eastern Zhejiang school of historical scholarship took shape.
