Mianzhu woodblock New Year prints, printed from carved blocks and then coloured by hand, are one of China's four great New Year print traditions and have been national intangible cultural heritage since 2006. This village area in Xiaode, south of Mianzhu, is one of the city's three centres of print-making, where door gods and auspicious scenes are produced and displayed.
