About Xingxiu and Fengyu Bridges

Xingxiu Bridge, in Xingxiu Park on the old course of the Xingxiu River in Lufeng city, is a seven-arch stone bridge 118.8 metres long, completed in 1832 after earlier bridges on the site had been washed away several times. Built of red sandstone bonded with lime and sticky-rice mortar, it carried the main caravan road to western Yunnan and has a memorial archway at its east end and a ten-pillar stone gateway at its west end. Fengyu Bridge, listed with it, stands about 1 km to the north.
