About Thousand-Buddha Cliff
A cliff face of Buddhist rock carvings beside the ruins of Shentong Temple in the hills near Liubu, with more than 200 carved figures and dozens of inscriptions. Most were carved in the 7th century, in the Tang dynasty, and they are regarded as the largest group of cliff statues in Shandong, including figures of a Tang princess and her husband. The national listing also covers the Dragon-Tiger Pagoda, a Tang-period pagoda nearby, and the Nine-Summit Pagoda.
