About Lo Pan Temple, Kennedy Town

A temple to Lo Pan, the master craftsman revered by the construction trade, first built in 1884 and rebuilt on the same site in 1928. It is decorated with murals, plaster mouldings, wood carvings and ridge ceramics made by the Junyu workshop of Shiwan, and its stepped gable walls are rare in Hong Kong. The local construction trade has long gathered here to honour Lo Pan on his birthday, and the temple was declared a monument in 2024.
