About Main Hall of Tianning Temple, Jinhua

The only surviving building of Tianning Temple in central Jinhua, founded in the early 11th century: a square, three-bay hall with a hip-and-gable roof, rebuilt in 1318. Dating of the timbers during repairs in 1978 showed that the Yuan rebuilding reused some Song-dynasty pillars, and a bell of 1128 and a Qing stone carving of Guanyin after Wu Daozi are kept inside.
