About Tomb of Li Bai

The Tang poet Li Bai, who died in Dangtu in 762, was reburied in 817 at the western foot of Qingshan (Green Hill), where his grave mound lies in a memorial garden with the Taibai Shrine. The shrine and some of the old inscriptions were destroyed in a Japanese air raid in 1938, and the tomb and shrine were restored from 1979. The tomb is the core of the Daqingshan Li Bai Culture Tourism Area, which also takes in the surrounding hills and rural-tourism villages such as Taohua.
