About Chuxiong Confucian Temple
Chuxiong's Confucian temple was founded in the Ming dynasty, and in the Qing the county and prefecture temples were combined on one site. The main Dacheng Hall, built in 1469, is a five-bay hall with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof whose beam frame still follows Ming practice. The Dacheng Gate, the Pan pool with its Sanyuan Bridge and the Zunjing library pavilion also survive.
