About Huguang Guild Hall

A complex of Qing-dynasty guild halls on the Yangtze at Dongshuimen, built by merchants and settlers from Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong who came with the early-Qing migration known as 'Huguang fills Sichuan'. Its Yuwang Temple, Qi'an Hall and Guangdong Hall, largely rebuilt in 1846, have courtyards, halls and opera stages, and together with newer buildings in the same style they house a museum of that migration.
