About Jin Garden

A small private garden laid out in 1668–1672 by the retired official Yang Qingyan, with the painter Wang Hui involved in its design, and counted among Changzhou's four classic gardens. Its roughly 4,600 square metres keep the early-Qing plan: a pond around a yellow-stone rockery island, ringed by pavilions, studies and climbing corridors, with the Xiye Thatched Hall as the main building.
