About Qingjiang Gallery

A boat-trip scenic area on the Qingjiang River above the Geheyan Dam in Changyang county, where the reservoir winds between steep wooded cliffs and hundreds of small islands. Boats run about 25 km upstream from the Qingjiang Gallery wharf to Wuluozhongli Mountain, which Chinese tradition names as the birthplace of the Ba people, ancestors of today's Tujia. Daoying Gorge ("Reflection Gorge") is another main stop, and the area is also known for local Tujia song and dance.

How to get to Qingjiang Gallery

Boats leave from the wharf at Shaiguping village in Longzhouping town, beside the Geheyan Dam and about 30 km south-west of central Yichang in a straight line.
