About China Port Museum
A large museum of China's ports and maritime trade at Chunxiao on the Beilun coast, opened in 2014 in a building designed by Cheng Taining that is shaped to suggest a conch shell and a sail. Its galleries trace port history and sea-borne trade, with hands-on halls on port science and the ocean, and it is also the Ningbo base of the national underwater cultural heritage programme; it was rated a national first-grade museum in 2020.
