About Qingliangsi Ru Kiln Site

The village site where archaeologists in 2000 confirmed the kilns of Ru ware, the rare duck-egg blue stoneware made for the Northern Song court around 1100, after surveys and excavations that began in 1987. The excavated kilns, glazing workshops and clay-settling pits are preserved inside an exhibition hall built over them, which opened in January 2017, and a separate Ru kiln museum with more than 1,000 exhibits opened in the village later that year.
