About Central Government Offices
Opened in 2011 at Tamar on the Admiralty waterfront, the Central Government Offices house several government bureaus and departments. Architect Rocco Yim designed it around a door-always-open idea, with a central hollow arch and an open layout that lets air flow through to the harbour. Next door, Tamar Park has lawns where people picnic and walk, and a path to the waterfront promenade with views across Victoria Harbour.
